Waste is a serious problem for the world, because the standard of living and the population of the world community continues to increase the waste production is increasing rapidly. Medan city has a load volume of waste produced by the population of 5.710 m3 / day. Every day 2,000 tons of garbage from 21 sub-districts of Medan City are discharged to Terjun Landfill. In Terjun Landfill still using open dumping system, this system is by dumping solid waste without any previous processing process. With the waste in the city of Medan, it is necessary a container to facilitate waste management in a better way. The building is designed to meet the needs of waste management in Medan City by utilizing waste into independent energy, Waste to composting, and waste to more useful materials. The building is designed with a green architecture theme approach. Because, green architecture implements the concept to minimize adverse effects on the natural environment as well as humans. By applying the theme of green architecture, the building will be more responsible to the environment by utilizing the independent energy generated from the waste without polluting the surronding environment.
